Chased for years by the same question asked over and over again by the media "Maria Anadon, why jazz?", she records her first CD in 1995 named after that same question "Why Jazz?". Followed by the north-american female quartet "Unpredictable Nature", in the contracape she answers: "Thats Why!". This work was recorded in inglish, was comtemplated by the Ministry of Culture with the cultural interest manifest. In the meantime appears "Cem Anos", the second CD, edit in November of 1998 by Movieplay/Groove, a work a hundred percent portuguese, and it´s about the recreation and giving back to "today" themes that were soundtracks of portuguese movies.
Marias voice is the conducter line that gets through one century of history, with musics that appeard in 1918, from songwritters as: António Pinho Vargas, Carlos Paredes, Manuel Jorge Veloso or Tomás Pimentel between others.
