GALLERIES CAN PARTICIPATE WITH A GROUPS OF ARTISTS
Omma Center of Contemporary Art is organizing the 4rth International Art Festival from June 15 until June 30,2006 at the NEORIA public exhibition center in the Old Town of Chania, Crete, Greece. The exhibition space, a converted 15th century vaulted Venetian shipyard, is over 4000 square meters in area. It will be the largest art exhibition ever held in Chania and one of the largest ever held in Greece, and will be covered accordingly by the local and national media.

Artists from all over the world can participate. Each artist will participate with two works (no size limit.

Participation fee for artists 350 Euros.
Participation fee for galleries 1300 Euros (group of 4 artists).
Apply by sending at least 5 to 10 images in JPG or Gif format (no more than 250 kb each) to: despina2tun@yahoo.com

One of the works and a short biography of each artist will be included in a full color catalogue which we will publish for the exhibition.
Each artist will get two copies of the catalogue for free.

Slides or photos of the selected works - for the catalogue - must have been received by March 30, 2006.

Only artists who received an email for acceptance can submit the application form to confirm their interest.

St. Paul, MN -- January 11, 2006 -- America's senior
experimental composer, 92-year old Henry Brant, heard Charles Ives's spatial work "The Unanswered Question" many decades ago.
Brant has since composed over 100 pieces that similarly involve multiple groups of musicians spaced throughout the auditorium (or sometimes gym, park, church or canal).

Innova Recordings has begun documenting some of these once-in-a-lifetime gargantuan works that often involve dozens of performers. The latest installment, "The Henry Brant Collection, Volume 3," features a work Brant wrote at the age of 90 for Milwaukee's Present Music ensemble supplemented with four choirs, two organs, and five trumpets all perched around the cathedral. The work sets pearls of wisdom from Leonardo da Vinci’s Notebooks about the nature of the elements.

Innova's growing series produced by Philip Blackburn moves Brant’s name even higher up the list in the pantheon of American Experimentalists such as Partch, Cage, Cowell, Ruggles, and Harrison.

Brant resides in Santa Barbara, Calif. and is finishing a treatise on orchestration techniques. He continues to write challenging scores that bring his 3D soundworld to lucky audience members; a kind of Viewmaster for the ears.

Con questo concerto la Premiata Forneria Marconi, torna a calcare i palcoscenici dei teatri Italiani ed europei dopo il trionfale tour mondiale che ha portato la band negli Stati Uniti, Canada, Messico e Brasile. La performace, diversa ad ogni replica, vedra’ la storica band suonare ed improvvisare su alcuni video girati appositamente per loro, nella costruzione di un personalissimo ed immaginifico percorso, in cui la musica diventa il mezzo assoluto per accompagnare gli spettatori all’interno dei filmati. In questo modo la musica oltrepassa il ruolo di colonna sonora per assurgere a momento poetico e di creativita’ istantanea. Accompagnata dalla straordinaria tecnica di PFM, la musica diventa energia pura, in grado di coinvolgere i cinque sensi con un linguaggio universale in grado di parlare a tutte le generazioni. Parte del concerto sara' naturalmente dedicata anche agli evergreen della mitica band, fino ad arrivare alla loro ultima fatica con una selezione di brani tratti dalla Rock Opera Dracula.

PFM CANTA DE ANDRE'
Il 1979 fu l'anno dello storico tour Fabrizio De Andre'-PFM.
Quello spettacolo diventa poi un doppio album, ancora oggi pietra miliare nella discografia della canzone d'autore italiana. A seguito di numerosissime richieste, PFM ha deciso di continuare a suonare, anche per la prossima stagione, le canzoni piu' significative di quell'evento.
